Manufacturing Engineer Please note: No work sponsorship is available for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship. Manufacturing Engineer - Direct Hire Pay: $105,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Develop efficient systems, processes fixtures, jigs that result in high-quality stainless-steel tankers. Responsibilities revolve around studying requirements for each production process and product at hand, and determining the most efficient operations based on these requirements. You need to have good knowledge of tool design and fabrication methods. Other necessary manufacturing engineer skills include project management ability, commitment to quality, and familiarity with safety and environmental standards. If you’re also inventive and meticulous, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll be the one to ensure our production lines work efficiently and effectively to satisfy our customers. Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed Study production and machine requirements Develop and test effective automated and manual systems Design and install equipment, fixtures Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations Resolve issues and delays in production Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality Train staff in new and existing processes Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas Design and develop new products and product mock-ups alongside the creative team Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaborating and cohesion Establish an effective and efficient work sequence Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems Develop standardized design criteria across all product lines Performs and understands calculations used in manufacturing process including but not limited to cycle times, take times, standard work, VSM
Requirements Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations Experience with ERP systems, VISIO, AUTOCAD Project management skills Problem-solving ability Teamwork skills
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required 5+ years in a metal manufacturing environment with weldments and large assemblies 5+ years’ design experience in product manufacturing Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills History of progressive responsibility a plus Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office program
