Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and supporting the launch of new product. The ideal candidate has experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of mechanical systems and industrial processes.
Responsibilities: Apply lean/continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and maximize efficiency. Develop and maintain standardized work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in all manufacturing processes. Work directly with Production and Fabrication teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging regular feedback. Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies as they can be applied to Mi-T-M operational processes. Apply DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) principles to optimize manufacturability of products. Coordinate the launch of new products by preparing necessary equipment and process documentation. Perform time studies to identify inefficiencies, verify proper costing, and validate productivity improvements. Troubleshoot real-time manufacturing issues and work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve them. Contribute to plant layout planning and workflow optimization. Ensure and promote safety and environmental compliance throughout manufacturing processes. Execute other duties as assigned to support company KPI's.
Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably with industrial equipment or similar mechanical products) 5+ years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen Familiarity with metal fabrication, and assembly processes Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach Great work ethic and attendance Effective communication, project management, and organizational skills Computer proficiency, including MS Office. Experience with CAD software preferred. Willingness to follow all safety protocols and procedures
Hours: 6:00am – 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, 6:00am – 10am Friday (overtime hours as needed)
