Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer supports production operations by providing technical guidance, participating in process improvements, and assisting with departmental projects. This role ensures consistent product quality, safe operations, and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. The engineer will act as a floor operations leader when needed, contribute to training, and drive performance management within the department. Key Responsibilities: Support operational functions and implement process improvements to meet department goals. Act as a liaison between operations and leadership to relay workflow status and production needs. Engage in problem-solving and root cause analysis to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence. Lead by example in safety, quality, and compliance expectations. Train and mentor new or existing staff as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area; report hazards to management. Operate reactor systems, industrial centrifuges/dryers, ion exchange columns, DCS systems, and powered equipment. Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Ensure SOP compliance, documentation accuracy, and attention to detail in manufacturing records. Represent the company in customer interactions as needed. Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field (OR) Associate degree with + years of large-scale chemical manufacturing experience – years of experience in a production environment (preferred) Experience in operating chemical processing equipment and knowledge of manufacturing workflows Basic understanding of Process Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA) Nice-to-Have Experience: SAP, Word, Excel, Access experience Customer service or client-facing experience Previous training responsibilities or team leadership exposure Required Skills: Manufacturing process oversight Root cause analysis and problem solving Ability to lead and train within a production setting Preferred Skills: Powered industrial equipment operation Strong verbal and written communication Team collaboration and cross-functional coordination Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Adaptability to shifting priorities and -hour shift work Additional Skills: Ability to lift up to lbs and maneuver + lb drums (with assistance) Use of PPE, including respirators, gloves, and chemical suits Ability to work in environments that may be hot, cold, wet, or noisy Shift work may include night shifts, rotating schedules, and weekends Occasional exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals Benefits:
