We're seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and help us build on that tradition through smart, efficient, and forward-thinking manufacturing processes.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Seek out and investigate automation solutions, new machinery, and manufacturing technologies related to Weinbrenner products and facilities. Ensure suitable new technologies are implemented effectively.
Develop and implement factory layout and manufacturing methods to maximize raw material usage, effectively utilize available labor resources, and promote efficient product flow throughout the production process.
Develop and implement production process controls to ensure consistent product quality. Establish production standards to be used throughout WSC manufacturing and sourcing locations, ensuring consistent product regardless of origin of manufacture.
Work to improve production line efficiency by reviewing labor times vs. standard, employee movement vs. task requirements, line loading, and production area layout.
Collaborate with Product Development and other departments on new designs and programs, maximizing product manufacturability while maintaining design intent.
Promote and operate within a Continuous Improvement environment to reduce waste, improve efficiency, increase throughput, and create a more positive work environment.
Comply with Weinbrenner’s QMS/ISO system.
Qualifications and experience include, but are not limited to:
