Manufacturing Engineer: Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Job Responsibilities The essential functions and key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: Establish a strong focus on internal and external customer service Designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills Provide technical support and assist in resolution of manufacturing problems as required Confers with design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure proficient production methods Confers with vendors to resolve equipment, materials and/or quality issues that are impacting the quality of the end product being produced Applies statistical methods to analysis of key manufacturing processes and controls Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structure and change control process Comprehensive understanding of product line designs and project cost make-up Strong attention to detail Team player in pursuit and support of cost reduction activities to achieve company goals Good interpersonal and training skills Ability to work independently, resolve technical and manufacturing issues without detailed direction and work as part of a team Capability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects simultaneously Ability to travel “as required” to customer site(s) to provide technical support and training Takes a lead role in the identification, purchase and implementation of new equipment utilized on the manufacturing floor Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair service following manufacturer’s recommendations and established procedures Job Requirements BS degree in engineering or related discipline 1 years working experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related engineering position Minimum of 15 years working experience in a directly related position of responsibility with demonstrated engineering competency may be considered in place of formal college degree with associated experience Solid works experience a plus Demonstrates accuracy and proficiency in execution of job responsibilities Strong key contributor with emerging leadership capabilities demonstrated PC, and CAD literate Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
