General Summary Equipment maintenance supports semiconductor manufacturing equipment in both component assembly and test. Provide troubleshooting and solutions for complex equipment problems. Support production in equipment setup, commissioning, buy-offs, enhancements, calibrations, and repairs. Responsibilities In-depth knowledge of semiconductor component equipment across multiple equipment types. Work with outside vendors for specialist advice and arrange for service support where necessary. Work with process engineers to troubleshoot equipment failures to find root cause, define and implement the solution. Design, execution, and analysis of experiments to screen and optimize equipment to drive continuous improvement, enhance uptime and process reliability efforts. Will be responsible as required for routine tasks of automated component handling kit changes, set up of automation equipment to support production requirements. Will be responsible for supporting other Equipment Maintenance activities such as parts & chemical inventories, general purchasing needs, etc. Lead communications with other equipment maintenance team members and equipment users. Develop procedures for predictive and preventative maintenance on production equipment. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Generate Equipment performance reports and presentations as required Traveling to client locations for equipment inspection occasionally 5% or less. Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance. Removing old equipment and installing new machines. Providing technical support and training maintenance technicians on new equipment. Creating New and updating existing SOP’s and Specifications for Equipment Operations, PMs and Calibrations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, required. No previous experience as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer required, although some preferred; or other equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical fundamentals, electronic schematics. Quickly react to change of priorities to support fast changing production priorities. In-depth knowledge of semiconductor component test equipment across multiple equipment types. Ability to read system schematics. Advanced troubleshooting skills. Understanding of safety and equipment procedures. Good communication and training skills. Relevant technical experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance with a proven ability to work in a dynamic environment and deliver results. Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for process/equipment interactions. Practical experience applying structured problem-solving methods. Initiative to address and appropriately escalate problems to achieve rapid resolution.
