Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer-Underbody Processing Engineering Assembly

Main responsibilities include:
- Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies
- Understand engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ's), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtration
- Support and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budget
- Support all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation
- Support flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)
- Participate in the implementation of Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risks
- Development/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.
- Support the Engine, Transmission, e-components (Electric Drive Module, Motors) or Chassis (Battery Tray, Cradles, Cross Car Beams) Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee, Michigan (MI), Trenton, Michigan (MI), Kokomo, Indiana (IN) and Saltillo, Mexico (MX); Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton, Indiana (IN); Casting Plants in Kokomo, Indiana (IN) and Etobicoke, Ontario (ON), Toledo, Ohio (OH) in conjunction with Global Center of Competency initiatives
- Drive standardization across plants in all regions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline or 3 years of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
- Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills
- Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats
- Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing products
- Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure
- Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning
- Microsoft Office intermediate or advance knowledge
- Must be able to travel 21%-40%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or technical equivalent
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Preferred 10 years manufacturing experience, Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plus
- Preferred 5 years' experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
