Manufacturing Process Engineer needed for an immediate 9 month+ contract opportunity in the Augusta, GA area!
Qualified candidates should possess a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with approximately 5 years of repeated process experience.
The right person for this key role will have the ability to implement the manufacturing process and assembly process from concept through manufacturing! This person will also have previous related experience with the purchasing and layout capital equipment aiming for process excellence! Must have great team communication as well as the proven passion for engineering!

responsibilities:
- Assessing and implementing optimal manufacturing processes to streamline production, standardize operations, and meet quality goals, focusing on error prevention, fabrication, welding, fastening, assembly, safety, and ergonomics.
- Collaborate with new product design teams to integrate design for manufacturability and serviceability, adhering to Product Development Plan requirements.
- Maintain expertise in manufacturing process and design techniques to enhance productivity and quality, striving for manufacturing process excellence.
- Process Layout Experience for assembly sequence
- Experience purchasing Capitol Equipment
- Possess solid financial skills, capable of conducting cost-benefit analyses.
- Apply Business Operating Standards for Operational Excellence to foster continuous improvement through lean principles and best practices.
- Work with the integrated supply chain team to optimize production layout, material flow, and presentation.
- Recommend, procure, and deploy manufacturing equipment, researching new technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and disseminate process instructions and standards, ensuring comprehensive training materials are available for users.
- Collaborate with Engineering to implement Engineering Change Notices and cost reduction initiatives.
- Generate specifications and drawings for new parts as needed.
