Summary/Scope of Work

Serve as the communications architect for the Mission Command Architecture Team (MCAT). This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs as the overall communications architect for the MCAT with coordination responsibility with outside agencies and training units

Creates/establishes communications architecture, coordinates communication plans, configures communications equipment, implements Cyber Security processes, and assists in installing equipment and circuitry in support of distributed exercises

• Coordinates all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support plans with communications planners at other simulation facilities, the MTC, NEC, and participating tactical units

• Plans include distribution of data, voice, and VTC over both LAN and WAN in both classified and unclassified modes for simulations/ stimulation networks; NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and tactical networks

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet DoD 8570.01-m baseline computing environment (CE) certification requirements at information assurance technical level III (IAT III)

• Certified cisco network associate (CCNA)

• Five (5) years of experience in network architecture design and implementation

• Experience in network design, troubleshooting and maintenance skills on a Cisco centric network and Cisco router, switch and firewall configuration, and experience with specific product lines: Cisco, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, and Tripwire

• Strong understanding of technology integration and information flow including LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup methodologies

• Understand the RMF, assess and authorize process and cyber security requirements

• Top Secret clearance

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
