POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer to take on advanced technical and engineering problem-solving tasks in support of nuclear plant operations. This position is responsible for managing technical decisions and ensuring adherence to industry codes and regulations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver advanced technical expertise to manage, develop, and implement engineering analyses and programs. Provide consultation and engagement to resolve equipment and system issues. Oversee task management related to engineering challenges. Conduct assigned engineering tasks using established engineering principles. Ensure work accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while following standard design criteria, practices, and codes. Undertake independent research and analyses to support technical projects. Propose innovative concepts and techniques to enhance performance, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with industry changes. Perform other duties as necessary per company policy or at management's request, including emergency response and departmental coverage. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS For Mid-level Engineer: B.S. in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in nuclear or related fields. For Senior Engineer: B.S. in Engineering or Professional Engineer license with 5+ years of engineering experience. Must fulfill additional requirements specified in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard related to personnel selection and training for nuclear power plants. Compliance with access requirements and favorable medical evaluations as needed for the role. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Professional Engineer registration. Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
