We need a skilled Mechanical Engineering Intern to help advance and sustain our radar products through design, analysis, and production sustainment. At IMSAR you'll have a chance to dig right in with our Mechanical Engineering team and contribute to important projects right away.
What You'll Do:
Component and assembly design, including detailed analyses such as heat transfer and strength analysis
Create and sustain design documentation, including part/assembly drawings and bills of materials
Design and support testing of radar systems to ensure compliance to requirements
Work closely with partners and customers in a technical capacity.
Create and present compelling presentations to both internal and external customers

What We're Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
US Citizen, eligible for a US Government security clearance.
Able to work onsite at our Springville, Utah facility.
Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA)
Preferred Skills:
Aerospace mechanical system design
Heat transfer, fluid dynamics, structural, and vibration analyses
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, 3D printing, composites)
Proficiency in SolidWorks, including part modeling, assembly design, and drawing creation
Organization, communication, and documentation, with proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence software
