Key Responsibilities:

Design HVAC and plumbing systems for new construction and renovation projects.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and layout design using industry-standard tools.
Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.
Conduct site visits and field assessments to support design and construction phases.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3-8 years of experience in mechanical systems design for buildings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software (e.g., Trane Trace, HAP).
Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, etc.).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
EIT certification required; PE license preferred or in progress.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with sustainable design and energy modeling.
Familiarity with Philadelphia building codes and permitting processes.
Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams.
