Job description:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer, who is experienced in the aerospace industry. Experience with Cargo Aircraft is a plus. The ideal candidate should be proficient in SOLIDWORKS.
Responsibilities Design and detail components in support of quotations, orders, and manufacturing projects. Solve emerging issues, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency. Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure design specifications and shop capabilities align. Engage in non-mechanical design tasks, including software troubleshooting, vendor communication, and customer interaction. Lead manufacturing and productivity improvements, focusing on both immediate and strategic solutions. Work intensively with manufacturing teams to innovate and implement production processes for new products. Conduct pre- and post-reviews of projects to drive continuous improvements and cost reductions.
Requirements Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of similar and recent work experience. Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, or equivalent program, with an expectation to pass a practical test during the hiring process. Experience with ERP systems is beneficial. Strong background in sheetmetal and weldment design. Familiar with various manufacturing processes and comfortable in a dynamic environment. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational and prioritization skills. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field is preferred.
