Boarhog is searching for a Mid Cybersecurity Engineer (eCRAFT category CSE2) as a valued member of the team responsible for preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. They may also perform the following duties
- Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber resilient network
- Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure
- Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports
Specifically, the Naval Information Warfare Systems Center (NIWC) Pacific Transport and Computing Infrastructure (TCI) Portfolio requires networking, communication, and computer systems, and associated certification and information assurance for the development, current operations and planned upgrades for the Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) Program.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's level degree in an Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering
ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I per DoD 8570.1
- Must possess a DoD Secret Clearance
- Preference is given to candidates who reside in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) as determined by the Small Business Administration (see SBA website)
