Our client has an immediate need for a Network/Voice Engineer to join their team in Brooklyn, NY.


Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Network and Voice Engineer to oversee the daily operations, reliability, and integrity of our enterprise voice communications infrastructure. This role includes installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of voice systems including servers, gateways, phones, circuits, wiring, backup systems, and diagnostic tools.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support Cisco Unified Communications systems, ensuring the stability and performance of enterprise voice services.
  • Design and implement enhancements to Cisco UC architecture based on functional requirements and industry best practices.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco UC components, including Call Manager, Unity Connection, Contact Center (UCCX), IM&P, and CER.
  • Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal technical teams on VoIP deployments, optimization, security, and ongoing management.
  • Troubleshoot voice and data networks, including SIP, T1, and POTS services.
  • Create and maintain documentation including technical specifications, design diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Develop and support Contact Center scripts and configurations.
  • Maintain QoS configurations and ensure consistent performance across voice, video, and data services.
  • Manage and support 3rd party integrations with CUCM, coordinating with vendors to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Provide support for Webex and other collaborative communication platforms.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with voice technologies.
  • CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred.
  • Proven experience managing and deploying Cisco Unified Communications products.
  • Strong understanding of SIP protocol and the ability to analyze call flows with packet capture tools.
  • Experience designing low-level architectures for UC solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise QoS strategies and implementation.
  • Proficiency with Webex support and integration.
