What This Job Involves

The Operating Engineer will have a strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment on all systems. Individuals are expected to demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and be multi-skilled in others in order to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

What Is Your Day To Day?

This Operating Engineer will specialize in Paint and Patch for the site

Maintenance

• Run Painting Machine
• Paint various areas throughout the facility
• General painting skills in a commercial capacity
• Drywall removal, install & repair. General Patch and paint

Safety

• Complete all required safety trainings as scheduled and Hazard Assessments as necessary.
• Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
• Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

Administrative

• Update work order status in real time, utilizing CMMS system.
• Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner
• Attend work and safety meetings as required

Physical work requirements and work condition

• Lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
• Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
• Working from heights; climbing a ladder, up to 30 ft., with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
• Must be available for Call-in work and perform other duties as required.

Desired Experience And Technical Skills

Required

• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, CMMS etc
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training in the areas of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Estimated total compensation for this position: 60,000.00 79,000.00 USD per year
