Operations Manager - Engineered Equipment Manufacturing & Distribution

Job Summary: We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead the manufacturing and distribution operations of our engineered equipment facility. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Experience in business start-up operations is highly desirable, as the role may involve developing the facility and supporting new production. Key Responsibilities: Start-Up & Expansion Projects - Lead operational setup of the facility to support smooth distribution and production and build the team up to support business needs.
- Develop SOPs, safety protocols, and training programs from the ground up.
- Build and scale a high-performing team with systems to support growth. Distribution & Supply Chain - Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and inbound and outbound logistics.
- Optimize supply chain performance to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to align material supply with production needs. Manufacturing & Engineering - Oversee production of engineered equipment, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to support product development and process improvements.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve throughput. Leadership & Team Development - Lead and mentor the cross functional team across production and logistics.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development. Operational Strategy & Compliance - Develop and execute operational plans aligned with business goals.
- Monitor KPIs such as safety, quality, cost and delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering - 5 years of experience in operations management within engineered equipment or industrial    manufacturing.
- Proven experience in launching or scaling manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing analytics tools. Preferred Skills: - Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt).
- Familiarity with customer sectors such as aluminum cast house, steel or heavy industry.
