Position Summary The primary role of Engineer 2 is to maintain guestrooms, public and back of the house areas by performing various tasks including plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, carpentry and painting of building structure, furniture and equipment to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC and kitchen equipment repairs in assigned work areas as needed. Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques, various products. Ensure that job site is clean and orderly after completion of all jobs. Respond to guest room calls in a positive, timely and efficient manner. Accurately keep records on assigned tasks according to standard operating procedures. Follow all policies and procedures put forth by the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hotel experience preferred . Certificates, Licenses and Registrations None required Supervisory Responsibilities None required. Business levels may require fast work pace and must be able to work under pressure. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Engineering staff may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including overtime and changing hours.
