Position Summary
The primary role of Engineer 2 is to maintain guestrooms, public and back of the house areas by performing various tasks including plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, carpentry and painting of building structure, furniture and equipment to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC and kitchen equipment repairs in assigned work areas as needed.
Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques, various products.
Ensure that job site is clean and orderly after completion of all jobs.
Respond to guest room calls in a positive, timely and efficient manner.
Accurately keep records on assigned tasks according to standard operating procedures. Follow all policies and procedures put forth by the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hotel experience preferred .

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. The employee may frequently be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch for duration of shift (eight hours or longer). The employee will need to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move and/or push up to 75 pounds without assistance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working indoors and outdoors throughout shift in areas that may have low light. Work areas may have uneven floors and may be slippery from moisture and grease; therefore, appropriate non-slip shoes must be worn. Business levels may require fast work pace and must be able to work under pressure.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, Engineering staff may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including overtime and changing hours.
