Packaging Engineer Intern

Essential Functions:
Participates in all sampling/qualification runs and line trials. Create detailed packaging specifications for customers. Write internal specifications for packaging components. Reads and understands mold and tooling CAD drawings. Works closely with customer’s Package Engineer and attends customer project meetings. Completes the pre-qualification checklist. Working with Corp. Quality and Procurement, reviews specifications and provides all drawings and specifications to the plant. Supports post project review meetings. Assists with efficiency improvement programs (i.e. cycle improvement, light-weighting, downtime reduction, etc.). Assists with new material evaluations and process development programs. Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies. Assist production department to improve existing production lines.
