About the Pediatric Metabolic Geneticist Position The Department of Pediatrics at the Dell Medical School (DMS) at The University of Texas at Austin, along with its clinical partner Dell Childrens Medical Center, a part of the Ascension Seton Healthcare Family, is seeking a Pediatric Metabolic Geneticist to join our growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to an innovative academic medical center focused on redesigning healthcare delivery, advancing scientific discovery, and educating future medical leaders. What You'll Do: Diagnose and manage patients with suspected or confirmed inborn errors of metabolism (IEMs). Serve as attending and/or consulting physician for IEM cases. Conduct outpatient metabolic genetics clinics. Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, hospitalists, and community providers (including tele-consultations). Participate in shared call coverage within the section and with clinical geneticists. Contribute to academic activities, including education and research. Engage in program development to meet evolving community needs. Help build Austins Genomics Institute in partnership with Dell Medical School (DMS) and Dell Childrens Medical Center (DCMC). Qualifications: MD or DO with licensure (or eligibility) from the Texas Medical Board. Board certified or board eligible in Clinical Biochemical Genetics or Medical Biochemical Genetics. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
