Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Pretreatment Application Engineer to join our Technical Services Team. This specialized role is pivotal in designing and supporting our pretreatment offerings for clients, ensuring seamless collaboration with Sales and Service teams to deliver exceptional solutions. While this role is primarily remote, we welcome candidates who prefer working from one of our office locations. We’re ideally looking for someone based in the Midwest, as proximity to clients and teammates makes occasional on-site collaboration more efficient.

Key Responsibilities:
Solutions Design & Quoting
- Develop quotes for pretreatment solutions, including parts and labor lists tailored to client needs. This responsibility will comprise more than 75% of the role’s day-to-day focus.
- Collaborate with Sales to review and present solutions, supporting value proposition development.
- Maintain organized documentation for project handoff
- Maintain frequent vendor communication to facilitate timely delivery of quotes.
- Assist Pretreatment Product Manager in quoting large-scope projects when requested.
Technical Support
- Provide real-time phone support to Field Service and Sales teams during client site visits.
- Travel to prospective customer sites for surveys and custom solution design when requested.
- Collaborate on process improvements to enhance capacity, client satisfaction, and field team competence within pretreatment systems.
- Deliver training sessions for Sales and Service teams on pretreatment systems and supporting documentation and tools.
Help Desk Management
- Manage the Pretreatment HelpDesk queue, directing tickets to the appropriate agents.
- Resolve assigned tickets within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Screen quote requests based on project scope and escalate complex projects to the Pretreatment Product Manager.
- Proven experience providing technical support or designing systems involving Reverse Osmosis (RO), Water Softening, and Deionization technologies in industrial or commercial water treatment applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with hands-on experience using CRM and project management platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for site visits, training, or project support.
- Familiarity with quoting tools and vendor coordination processes.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
