About The Role:We are seeking a data-driven and commercially minded Pricing Engineer to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in developing and optimizing pricing strategies for warehousing and value-added services across our nationwide footprint. You will analyze customer requirements, cost structures, operational capabilities, and market benchmarks to deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable pricing models.
Responsibilities:• Develop, maintain, and optimize pricing models and tools for warehousing, handling, and other 3PL services.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to assess cost-to-serve, capacity utilization, and service capabilities.
• Analyze customer RFPs/RFQs, interpret service requirements, and provide detailed pricing proposals and assumptions.
• Conduct cost modeling for new and existing business, factoring in labor, space, equipment, throughput, and value-added services.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify margin improvement opportunities through data analysis and pricing optimization.
• Maintain a database of historical pricing, rates, and proposal assumptions to drive consistency and continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about market trends and competitive pricing benchmarks within the logistics and warehousing space.
• Support automation and digitization of pricing workflows and tools.
• Partner with the filed Industrial Engineering team to build validation points for actual current customer work standards to build and validate pricing models.
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• Preferred experience in pricing, financial modeling, cost engineering, or operations analytics preferably in a 3PL or logistics environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with pricing software, Warehouse Management Systems, or Enterprise Resource Planning systems is a plus.
• Beneficial to understand warehousing operations, including labor planning, storage models, and throughput metrics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously.
