Principal Engineer

Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their team. As a Principal Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the development of innovative disposable medical devices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Principal Engineer
Location: Plymouth, MN (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)
Pay Range: $47.00 - $50.00 per hour
What's the Job?
Manage new 3rd party supplier documentation strategy for peritoneal dialysis disposable sets. Lead change controls from initiation through execution. Oversee the creation and maintenance of design history files. Coordinate and communicate efforts of R&D in collaboration with global cross-functional stakeholders. Schedule, budget, and lead engineering projects with minimal guidance.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field; MS preferred. 5 - 8 years of related experience in Class II or Class III disposable medical product development.  Single Use disposable experience is highly preferred. Experience managing medical device product support activities and change controls. Advanced knowledge of FDA Design Controls and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
