: Principal Full Stack Engineer Quantitative Portfolio Management Platform The Role Fidelitys Asset Management Division is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our Quantitative Research and Investing Technology (QRIT) team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering the quantitative portfolio management platform that supports Fidelitys data-driven investment processes. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role that involves working closely with technology product owners, the portfolio engineering team, and peer technology teams to build robust, scalable tools. You will contribute directly to architecture, design, implementation, and the delivery of a cloud-native, microservice-based platform designed for scalable and resilient investment workflows. 7+ years of professional experience building complex backend and full-stack systems

Proven experience designing and delivering scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications and microservice architectures in enterprise environments

Exposure to statistics , linear algebra , or numerical optimization through coursework or professional experience is a plus, particularly in the context of portfolio construction or quantitative finance.

Familiarity with quantitative finance concepts (optimization, tracking error, risk models) is a plus but not required

Knowledge of test-driven development, object-oriented design, and CI/CD practices

Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, senior engineering team while working independently and taking initiative

Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

We are a senior, collaborative engineering team that values autonomy, technical excellence, and clear communication. The base salary range for this position is $107,000-$181,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.
