JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED This position will report to the Manager of Tactical Solutions Systems and Test Engineering. It involves leading systems engineering tasks related to the development of tactical flight systems and subsystems, with a focus on Phased Array and Satellite Communications technologies. The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises talented professionals dedicated to delivering high-impact technologies for our customers' missions. Our teams value innovation, integrity, continuous learning, and strong execution. What You’ll Do : Perform systems engineering throughout the lifecycle of tactical programs or R&D projects. Support development, testing, and evaluation of hardware, software, and support equipment. Provide technical expertise to the business development team. Conduct link budget analysis for SATCOM and LOS communications. Derive and compose system requirements. Perform system cascade analysis. Maintain a consistent work schedule. Establish effective working relationships within the department and across units. Perform additional duties as required. On-Site Work Environment: This role requires regular in-person work at the primary location, with potential travel between company campuses and other sites. Working Conditions : Work may occur in offices, laboratories, production floors, cleanrooms, outdoors, or remote research environments. Occasional work in production centers with protective gear may be necessary. Access to various facilities under different weather conditions may be required. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related fields, with 6+ years of relevant experience. Higher degrees (Master’s, etc.) may substitute for experience on a 2:1 basis. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance. Subject Matter Expert in SATCOM Systems supporting DoD and commercial communications. Deep knowledge of military and commercial SATCOM terminal requirements, validation, and certification. Experience designing terminals for LEO, MEO, GEO constellations. Familiarity with LOS communication systems. Experience with system integration on DoD platforms. Experience with Software Defined Radio, FPGA, and waveform development. Leadership experience in engineering teams from conception to delivery. Experience with government proposals, SOWs, and technical specs. Knowledge of antenna design, phased array antennas, and validation methodologies. RF design concepts and proficiency in MATLAB. Familiarity with RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers. Experience with SATCOM terminal hardware and link budget analysis. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Advanced skills in Matlab, C, C++, IDL, STK, DOORS, Python, and other tools. Experience with MBSE tools and systems engineering execution. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate solutions clearly to management and customers. Pay Range: $115,779 - $196,825 Please note : Salaries depend on various factors including skills, education, experience, and market conditions.
