Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program. The program seeks a Software Engineer to support the Processing Team in developing tasking and scheduling software. The successful candidate will be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a single baseline, working in the office with 2-week sprints for 3-month increment deliveries. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment, supporting the program through milestones to achieve the mission. Development is done within the Agile paradigm using the Atlassian tool suite. The position is full-time in the office. The candidate must have and be able to maintain a DoD clearance. The ideal candidate will have software development experience, the ability to synthesize changes into working designs, generate efficient code, and adapt to evolving requirements. The role requires independence, self-motivation, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. This position can be located in Morrisville, North Carolina , Fairfax, Virginia , or Linthicum, Maryland . ( Compensation varies by location ) Note: This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. This requisition may be filled at Level 3 or Level 4, depending on experience and assessment. Basic Qualifications Active/current U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access [TS/SCI]; US Citizenship required. Experience requirements vary by level, including 5+ years with a bachelor's, 3+ years with a master's, 1+ year with a PhD, or 7+ years with an associates degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with front-end GUI design, Java, web frameworks (React, Vue), Agile development, software design, unit testing, Kubernetes, Docker, microservice architecture, and object-oriented design. Experience working with distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications STEM degree. Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket). Experience with NodeJS framework and familiarity with Keycloak.

Compensation depends on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
