We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team at Windsor Technology, an electronics PCB assembly manufacturer. The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing our manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality standards, and cost-effectiveness. This position requires a deep understanding of PCB assembly manufacturing techniques, equipment, and materials, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Responsibilities
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole technology (THT), and assembly processes ensuring all processes adhere to customer and industry standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, sales and supply chain to implement new processes, equipment, and materials.
Review and approve engineering change orders.
Review and evaluate all variances on components that do not meet prescribed tolerances and obtains deviation approval when required.
Design and implement process control systems to monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Perform root cause analysis for process-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop and maintain process documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
Support the sales team with the startup on new products, documenting all startup activities and reporting any problems / issues or opportunities for design or product improvement.
Provide technical support and training to production staff to ensure adherence to established processes and standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in PCB assembly manufacturing technology, and regulatory requirements to continuously improve processes and maintain compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 5 years related experience
Experience in PCB assembly manufacturing processes and techniques
Strong knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole technology (THT), soldering techniques, and assembly processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with Microsoft applications such as Visio, Excel, and Word.
