Position Summary

Electro-Mechanical Product Design Engineer with mid-level experience in the Mil-Circular connector industry to join the ITT Cannon Connectors N.A. team.

Essential Responsibilities

Engineering design management of Circular connector platforms with primary focus on defense related products
Engineering product setup, design, and lifecycle management
Engineering BOM creation, documentation creation and updates
Design of new components and assemblies
Manage and plan multiple activities related to Engineering, Product Management and Operational support
Multi-functional team member representing Product Engineering
Product Testing/Qualification support and overview within a Product Evaluation Lab
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5 years minimum experience in Electro-Mechanical Mil-Circular connector product design
CREO Parametric 3D Modeling/Documentation experience
ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing, including GD&T
Ability to manage multiple tasks to drive results
Highly self-motivated and a willingness to make a difference and learn
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with different departments.
Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel, Word etc...
This position requires visibility to projects that are Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN), including foreign governments, organizations or non-U.S. citizens.

Preferred

Broad experience in electrical connectors and the Aerospace & Defense industry.
Experience in Electrical Cabling, Filter connector design and High Speed Data transfer a plus
Knowledge in the use of high-performance thermoplastics, aluminums and copper alloys and the manufacturing requirements needed to utilize them
Knowledge in MIL-DTL, Mil-STD and similar industry specifications and requirements.
Experience in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Design for Manufacturability (DfM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) principles.
The ability to travel periodically (up to 10%)

Equal Pay Act Range

Annual salary range is from $112,700.00 to $168,500.00, plus benefits & incentive plan.
