General Description

The Product Development Engineer is responsible for leading team members in the product development process by managing project from concept to final product release.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Works directly with innovation and testing staff, sales representatives, project teams, production, field service, to evaluate design and application
• Communicates with vendors and customers for design development
• Performs 3D modeling and simulations (SolidWorks)
• Performs product functionality testing and risk evaluation
• Coordinates with production engineering to standardize new products and in charge of standardization of product line by preparing fabrication details, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and production sequence of events.
• Manages ERP item creation and documentation
• Assists in technical documentation (operation manuals, datasheets, etc.) and various marketing materials
• Assists in performing product testing and other lab activities
• Prompt and reliable attendance
• Other duties as assigned
