Project Engineer- Senior

DPR Construction is seeking a senior project engineer with a minimum of 4 years of commercial construction experience. Project engineer responsibilities will be on commercial projects within our core markets: advanced technology, commercial, healthcare, higher education, and life sciences. Project engineers will work closely with all members of the project team and will be responsible for the following:

Participation and application of DPR’s environmental health and safety plan to maintain injury-free environments, including performing weekly safety audits. Mentoring, developing, and training team members for fast-paced growth. Managing other project engineer team members. Understanding and enforcing contracts between DPR and subcontractors, as well as DPR and the owner. Assisting superintendents and project managers in implementing DPR policies and executing projects. Organizing duties of engineers, field office coordinators, project accountants, and other staff, providing direction, prioritization, and feedback. Participating in training sessions and company meetings to facilitate growth. Organizing and electronically archiving project files for easy access. Preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules in collaboration with the superintendent. Maintaining document control entities such as daily reports, procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing logs, RFI logs, and change order logs. Distributing drawings, changes, submittals, RFI responses, and project information to affected parties. Identifying, negotiating, and distributing change orders to owners and subcontractors. Preparing agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings. Participating in project cost control, maintaining records, and ensuring timely payments for changes. Preparing owner billing by assembling costs, reviewing invoices, and organizing documents per owner requirements. Qualifications We seek a flexible, detail-oriented team player capable of managing multiple tasks, producing quality work, and meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will possess: An organized work approach adaptable to project needs. Deep knowledge of assigned project scopes with a hands-on approach. A proactive attitude toward resolving construction problems and conflicts. Goal-oriented mindset for prompt issue resolution within the project team. Excellent listening and communication skills. Ability to resolve complex issues effectively. Strong team participation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software (CMiC, Prolog or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar), and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or similar). At least 4+ years of experience as a project engineer, preferably in DPR’s core markets. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and passion for construction. This position is salaried.
