Position: Project Engineer

Our Client is currently seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join their team. This role will vary slightly depending on project assignment but is integral to the overall success of high-value civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will support project execution from buyout through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout each phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly billing processes, cash flow forecasting, and change order management

  • Review mock-ups, shop drawings, and project specifications

  • Monitor and manage subcontractor compliance and coordinate quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) measures

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes

  • Identify and manage procurement of critical and long-lead materials; oversee material ordering and delivery scheduling

  • Support the development and execution of detailed work plans

  • Assist in managing document control, project safety, and environmental compliance

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA health and safety regulations on-site

  • Perform quantity takeoffs based on contract documentation

  • Support and supervise field operations as needed

  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontract agreements

  • Contribute to schedule development and assist with schedule updates

  • Provide field-level oversight and subcontractor coordination as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally on construction projects valued at $100 million or more

  • Demonstrated experience preparing cost reports and supporting project financial tracking

  • Familiarity with legal, contractual, and claims-related processes within construction

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with construction management software such as Procore and Primavera P6

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
