Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Prompt Engineer to join our AI development team. You will design, test, and refine prompts that improve the performance and reliability of conversational and generative AI systems. The role requires strong foundations in natural language processing (NLP), familiarity with machine learning concepts, and a methodical approach to experimentation and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize prompts for a variety of AI applications to elicit accurate, context-aware responses.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to align prompt strategies with product goals and user needs.
• Plan and run experiments to evaluate prompt effectiveness; analyze results and iterate to improve outcomes using quantitative metrics.
• Fine-tune model behavior in coordination with model training and evaluation workflows.
• Document prompt patterns, test cases, and best practices to support reproducibility and team knowledge sharing.
• Monitor advances in NLP and prompt engineering and apply new techniques where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience in natural language processing, machine learning, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to design experiments, interpret results, and translate findings into improvement plans.
• Familiarity with prompt development tools and frameworks (for example: Dialogflow CX, prompt libraries, or platform-specific SDKs).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present technical findings to cross-functional teams.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for prototyping and automation.
• Understanding of AI ethics and practices for safe, responsible deployment.
• Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and human-centered design approaches.
