QA Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career QA professional to grow their skills in wireless technologies, embedded systems, and software testing. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to the validation of our Octobox software suite and wireless testbed products.
Responsibilities include assisting with test plan execution, reproducing customer-reported issues, performing functional and regression testing, and learning to triage Wi-Fi protocol-level issues using tools like Wireshark. This role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their technical expertise and make a meaningful impact on product quality.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in QA, Product Verification, or System Integration/Test.
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi (802.11) protocols and devices.
- Basic experience with Wireshark or similar network analysis tools.
- Understanding of TCP, UDP, and other transport protocols.
- Ability to write or modify test scripts using Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a technical QA role.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with software/hardware integration and debugging.
- Familiarity with Linux command-line tools and package management.
- Exposure to automation frameworks or scripting in Tcl, Bash, or RESTful APIs.
- Interest in Wi-Fi 7 or advanced wireless technologies.
Annualized Salary Wage Range: $77,000 - $143,000
Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
