Quality Assurance Automation Engineer Spire is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to develop automation workflows which will provide built in quality and efficiencies in testing critical business processes within Enterprise applications. This role will partner with QA analysts to understand automation opportunities and develop solutions to add value in the overall end to end development practices. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, modify, and execute automated test workflows based on existing test plans, new requirements, and design documents. Develop and maintain a robust regression suite of test workflows. Support continuous delivery by working with teams to identify testing needs and gaps. Collaborate and maintain alignment with development teams and Product Management. Build a process flow that enables new development to be tested through automation in a TDD manner. Troubleshoot automation issues, identify root cause and drive resolution in a timely manner. Demonstrate automation results to gain approval to pull into specific regression suite for continuous testing. Coordinate with QA Analysts and Product Management to ensure testing expectations are met. Understand timelines of key initiatives, program increments, and testing tracks to provide automation support. Build knowledge of full architecture to support end to end test automation workflows for higher test quality and coverage. Essential Characteristics and Competencies: Supervisory Responsibilities: Required Education (certifications, licenses): Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Engineering or related discipline), or foreign degree equivalent. Must have completed the Accredited Integration Specialist HP Quality Center V9 certification, following the passing of the M15 HP Quality Center 9.2 Software, and 16 HP QuickTest Professional 9.2 Software examinations. Required knowledge, skill and abilities: 5 years of relevant experience. 5 years of experience working in a Quality Assurance technical role. 5 years of experience working in a large scale complex end-to-end integrated environments. 5 years of experience working with automation script languages VBScript and UFT Software. 5 years of experience working with the continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) approach. 5 years of experience working with SQA methodologies and practices. 5 years of experience working with automation pipeline tools Jenkins, GitLab, Sourcetree, and QA Complete. 5 years of experience working with PL/SQL and SQL. Physical demands, environment and schedule: Position allows for occasional telecommuting within reasonable commuting distance of headquarter office in St. Louis, MO.
