Job Description
The Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
- Support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and oversee documentation packages.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive action efforts (CAPA) using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
- Analyze quality data, perform trend analysis, and generate regular reports to identify and reduce non-conformances.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in external audits conducted by customers and regulatory bodies.
- Support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and process validation.

The Successful Applicant
The successful Quality Engineer (aerospace) will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-7 years of experience in a quality engineering role, ideally in aerospace or a similar regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAI/PPAP processes.
- Comfortable using tools like Minitab, Solidworks, Excel, and other quality software for data analysis.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with supplier quality interactions is a plus.
- Experience with SPC.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
