JOB PURPOSE: The Quality Engineer Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the successful integration of quality standards into new product development and existing manufacturing processes. As the primary liaison between the Quality department, Engineering, and R&D teams, the QE Supervisor will lead the development and implementation of robust process controls for new products. This role will also oversee continuous process evaluation and improvement to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Serve as the main quality liaison with Engineering and R&D to define and implement effective process controls for new product introductions. Monitor, measure, analyze, and evaluate the performance of current manufacturing processes to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded. Support and contribute to the development and reporting of Cost of Quality metrics. Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors and auditors, promoting accountability and professional development. Oversee non-conforming output management, including RMA (Return Material Authorization) and NCMR (Non-Conforming Material Report) processes and investigations. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts for quality-related issues. Conduct lab testing and perform measurements on production coated materials to validate product performance and process capability. Use data analysis to identify trends, drive decision-making, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. JOB PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Technical Knowledge: New Product Launch experience, including FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP Strong Data Analysis and Reporting skills Excellent communication skills; internal, customer and supplier contacts Cost of Quality fundamentals Problem solving and corrective action skills, (8D, A3 preferred) Lead Continuous Improvement Teams Technical writing skills Metrology fundamentals Coursework or equivalent experience: Bachelors degree in quality engineering or industrial engineering 5-10 years working as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing environments Minimum 2 years of Supervisory experience Preferred: Six Sigma credentials Internal Audit Credentials Experience working with plastic coatings (PTFE) and/or Chemistry Precision Lab Testing Compliance and Regulatory familiarity; ISO 9001, FDA Experience working in Lean Manufacturing Environments Supplier Quality Management Document Management
