Quality Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer. Position Type: Full time Contract, Temp to Direct. Duration: 06-12 Months Location: Clifton, NJ 07014 (Onsite)

As a Quality Engineer, you will:

• Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.
• Leads the preparation and execution of internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
• Liaises with auditing groups and inspectors to develop formal written reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Identifies trends in discrepancies and collaborates with process owners on the refinement and optimization of business processes.
• Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors.
• Reviews, approves, and controls work order flow tags.
• Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods, and procedures.
• Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings.

The ideal candidate will have:

• BS in STEM and 6 years related experience or MS in STEM and 4 years related experience.
• BA in STEM and Quality Experience.
• Responsible for managing the quality portion complex projects at this level, involving review of work products.
• Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
• Responsible for continuous improvement focus and Zero Defect Plan (ZDP) execution.
• Will execute with Program Management, IPTs, and Quality Leadership to report status and process improvements.
• Partners with other functions to achieve efficient resolution of issues without compromise to quality.
• Knowledge First Article Inspection ensuring all specifications are met including final reporting to customer.
• This position needs a Secret Security Clearance.
