PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a highly experienced Radar Mode Development Engineer to support advanced sensor fusion software development within a dynamic aerospace and defense program in Fort Worth, TX . This is a full-time contract opportunity ideal for engineers with deep embedded systems expertise, radar algorithm experience, and a passion for building mission-critical capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience: 10+ years of hands-on embedded C++ software development 10+ years of algorithm implementation and verification (MATLAB preferred) 5+ years of experience in sensor fusion or Kalman filter application 5+ years of radar development and integration experience 5+ years working with Visual Studio Strong experience with Windows or Linux RTOS environments Background in real-time embedded avionics software Proven track record in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, integration, and test Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field Active Secret Clearance (Required) Desired Qualifications: Experience developing radar modes for Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA) Prior work in aircraft-based sensor fusion algorithms Experience with Kalman filtering , radar signal processing, or multi-sensor tracking algorithms Familiarity with Agile development and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Responsibilities: Develop radar sensor modes that support sensor fusion initiatives in aircraft platforms Design, code, test, and integrate real-time embedded software using C++ and MATLAB Participate in software design reviews, requirements development, and test strategy planning Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, systems, and integration engineers Support radar and fusion algorithm development in both Windows and Linux RTOS environments Work in accordance with program standards to ensure robust, mission-critical solutions
