Join our client's Southwest Market team as a RAN Interconnect Engineer and lead critical 5G C-Band expansion and transport upgrade projects across Las Vegas, Arizona, New Mexico, and El Paso. This role offers the opportunity to drive end-to-end transport solutions for one of the nation's leading wireless networks.
RAN Interconnect Engineer Responsibilities
- Lead transport engineering efforts for major regional wireless network programs including Macro, Small Cell, In-Building/Venue, and Temporary Assets
- Engineer comprehensive end-to-end transport solutions utilizing fiber and microwave technologies
- Manage vendor selection for general contractors and transport vendors based on technical requirements, pricing, and timelines
- Design and coordinate transport equipment implementation including ordering, installation, and network integration
- Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment, circuit paths, and segments in CND database
- Provide IP assignments for networked equipment through INAM database
- Support database cleanup efforts for Fuze, CND, INAM, and Nokia NSP systems
- Track and forecast project milestones while partnering with internal and external teams
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed
RAN Interconnect Engineer Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, OR 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative team approach across diverse disciplines
- High attention to detail with exceptional productivity standards
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with ability to manipulate large datasets efficiently
- Quick learner with ability to apply wireless engineering knowledge to new projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Wireless Network industry, preferably in Network Transport engineering
- Proficiency in Nokia Routing Technologies (7250/7750 Platform)
- Knowledge of Data Transport systems including L3/L2 and segment routing
- Experience with Optical Technologies (CWDM/DWDM) and Ericsson RF Technologies
- Project management experience with executive-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Granite circuit database (CND) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior organizational and planning capabilities
Work Details
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Location: Phoenix/Chandler, AZ offices
Environment: Hybrid working arrangement, up to 5 days in office
