Job Description: We believe that multimodality is critical for intelligence. To go beyond language models and build more aware, capable, and useful systems, the next step change will come from vision. We are working on training and scaling up multimodal foundation models for systems that can see, understand, show, explain, and eventually interact with our world to effect change. We are seeking engineers with substantial experience in PyTorch, multimodal data, and distributed systems. You will collaborate with a team to develop cutting-edge multimodal language models, focusing on audio and visual data. Your contributions will influence research projects and product development roadmaps. Responsibilities Design and execute large-scale annotation efforts for model post-training. Develop tools to evaluate and benchmark multimodal language models. Create large-scale AI training and inference methods. Implement efficient models and systems for data processing and training. Build visualization, evaluation, and filtering tools for datasets. Collaborate across research and engineering teams to transfer research into products and services. Prototype cutting-edge products based on multimodal generative AI. Requirements Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, including experience across the full development pipeline: data processing, preparation, loading, training, and inference. Experience working with large-scale text data or interleaved data involving audio, video, image, and text (preferred). Hands-on experience with developing or benchmarking LLMs, Vision Language Models, Audio Language Models, or generative video models. Additional desirable skills: Experience designing and developing annotation tools. Experience with synthetic data.
