Title: RF PowerAmplifier Design Engineer - Principal
Job Overview: MACOM seeks a highly experienced SeniorElectrical Engineer to design solid-state power amplifiers at RF, microwave,and millimeter-wave frequencies. Strong knowledge of analog control circuits,RF hardware, and systems including linear small signal, high-power amplifiers,and transceiver architectures highly desirable. Amplifiers designed will beused across commercial, aerospace and defense markets, as well as spaceapplications.
The successful candidateis a prolific RF designer, with a proven rack record of product development, agreat communicator, and devoted to improving the state of the art of modern RFsystems.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience designing UHF, microwave, or millimeter-wave solid-state amplifiers.
- Experience in the use of design tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, or other similar tools.
- Ability to analyze and resolve highly complex technical problems quickly and independently.
- Design experience in meeting Military and High-Rel requirements is desired.
- Ability to work onsite with a team including mechanical engineers, process engineers, and electrical engineers.
- Ability to work in a lab environment to test and verify amplifier designs against rigid specifications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
- BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of applicable experience is desired, or MS and 6+ years.

The Salary Range for this position is $98,000-$135,000.Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, includingbut not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education,and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
