Sales Engineer - Geotechnical Products (Eastern U.S.)

We are seeking a technically strong and self-motivated Sales Engineer to support our geotechnical and deep foundation product lines across the Western U.S. This role is ideal for a civil, geotechnical, mechanical, or mining engineering professional with field and technical sales experience in the heavy civil construction or geotechnical industry. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, providing product and technical support, and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and project owners. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong client relationships with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders. Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate and support clients. Identify and pursue project opportunities related to geotechnical solutions including soil nails, micropiles, strand anchors, hollow bars, DCP anchors, shoring systems, and earth retention systems. Read and interpret specifications, conduct engineering take-offs, and prepare estimates. Provide technical guidance on product coatings and corrosion protection (e.g., hot-dip galvanized, epoxy). Estimate material requirements and assist with bid and proposal preparation. Support jobsite services such as field testing and coordination. Collaborate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Travel frequently throughout the Western U.S. for client visits and project support. Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering; equivalent construction management or industry experience considered. Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical or heavy civil construction. Technical/engineering sales experience required. Familiarity with drilling methods, grout systems (cementitious and chemical), deep foundations, and earth retention. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; experience with estimating software a plus. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service orientation with independent problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel frequently and live near a major airport. Preferred Qualifications: Membership in DFI and/or ADSC. Experience with PTI Specifications. Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is a plus. Knowledge of geotechnical product manufacturing processes.
