Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of corporately supported technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of security solution offerings.
  • Support the Sales team by assessing client needs, leveraging product knowledge and experience to create system designs, technical specifications, product pricing, and submittal documentation.
  • Design integrated electronic security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and other related services.
  • Select appropriate products, generate cost estimates, create technical drawings, and compile accurate equipment lists.
  • Deliver high-level training sessions internally and externally, as needed.
  • Engage with end users via phone, video conference, or in-person meetings to gather technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance and training.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate pricing for products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to support and align with the approved corporate product portfolio.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Solid understanding of IP networking fundamentals.
  • Technical knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, and door hardware.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to interpret and develop wiring schematics to recognized industry standards.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to develop solutions for non-standard applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend effective resolutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a strong service orientation.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic security systems, with a focus on video surveillance and access control.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Assa Abloy, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, or similar) are a plus.
