Maximus is looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer specializing in AWS to design and manage Kubernetes environments for containerized application deployment and performance enhancement. This role is vital for ensuring efficient DevOps processes and streamlining application management, especially for DoD projects. Please note: This position is on-site five days a week and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage robust Kubernetes environments on AWS for optimized deployment of containerized applications. Implement infrastructure as code, ensuring best practices in security and DevOps for AWS resources. Oversee CI/CD integration and application lifecycle management to enhance deployment processes. Optimize system performance, troubleshoot networking challenges, and ensure top-notch security measures are in place. Minimum Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance required. A minimum of 6 years of experience working in AWS and DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on Kubernetes. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in system administration related to workloads on AWS, specifically Amazon EKS, supporting development and testing teams. At least 5 years of experience working with containerized platforms. Strong knowledge of scripting languages, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration. IAT Level II certification required. Kubernetes CKA certification required. At least two additional certifications from the following list; 3 years of relevant experience may be substituted for each certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or training AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training Join our team and play a critical role in advancing cloud technologies while making a significant impact on vital governmental projects.
