As a FedRAMP Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing secure cloud implementation across the federal government. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive compliance reviews of cloud service offering (CSO) system security plans (SSPs) to ensure they meet FedRAMP security requirements. Providing risk-based guidance to cloud service providers (CSPs) to mitigate security concerns. Collaborating closely with industry partners to drive transparency and efficiency in cloud security practices. Working with a dedicated team to evaluate system architectures and key performance indicators. Assisting in the development of government-wide guidance and policy for new technologies. This challenging position requires a strong focus on maintaining package review priorities, contributing to standard operating procedures, and ensuring the secure handling of sensitive information. You'll need to excel in teamwork, communication, and analytical skills, as your insights will influence cybersecurity judgments for the U.S. government. Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of government cryptography requirements. Strong grasp of cloud architecture and security best practices. Proficiency in networking principles and security concepts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Education & Experience: Jr Level: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience; Master's degree with 1 year; Associate’s Degree + 6 years; High School diploma + 9 years. Mid Level: Bachelor's with 5 years of experience; Master's + 3 years; Associate + 8 years; High School + 11 years. Senior Level: Bachelor's with 8 years; Master's + 6 years; Associate + 11 years; High School + 14 years. Compensation: Ranges from $77,000 to $176,150 based on level and experience. Desired Skills: Experience in application development, security automation, and security testing. Knowledge of vulnerability management and API security practices. Familiarity with OSCAL and relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM).
