About the role: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong sense of ownership, passionate about our mission, eager to learn and teach, and capable of delivering across the tech stack. The ideal candidate has experience with a modern data stack and implementing data pipelines using Python in AWS. Where you will work: This position is based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in-office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. What you will do: Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines supporting our business operations Define and develop reusable, abstracted datasets for Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Data Science Design and promote a federated data validation framework to monitor data inconsistencies Ensure user privacy and security through best practices Technologies we use:What you will bring to the team: 5+ years of experience in software/data engineering, including distributed processing, data warehousing, governance, Big Data, data privacy, and quality Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python Experience building scalable data pipelines, query optimization, PostgreSQL tuning (a plus), data modeling, and reusable datasets Experience with orchestration tools (especially Argo), databases (especially PostgreSQL), and data warehouses (especially Snowflake) Familiarity with distributed event-driven architectures; NATS experience is a plus Knowledge of healthcare or insurance sectors Ability to learn quickly and mentor others Compensation Transparency: The target salary range is $160,000 to $200,000 annually, based on qualifications and skills.
