Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design and management, including:

Design and equipment upgrades

Power system studies, including arc flash hazards analysis

Low and medium voltage power distribution in industrial settings

Equipment design and selection (motor control centers, drives, switchgear, etc.)

Drawing creation (power plans, layouts, one-lines, wiring diagrams)

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, client interaction, project management, design delivery, and business development. Specific tasks involve power system modeling, conceptual design, equipment layout, contract drawing development, field investigations, and support during construction.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage projects or serve as lead discipline engineer.

Scope, budget, and coordinate project execution.

Ensure timely, on-budget delivery of electrical designs.

Support business development efforts.

Mentor junior engineers and designers.

Review contractor submittals and RFI documents.

Produce reports and technical memorandums.

Collaborate with national technical teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering

Professional registration or ability to obtain within 6 months

At least 10 years of relevant experience

Experience with Revit/BIM, AutoCAD P&ID, power system software (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower)

Knowledge of industrial power systems and NEC

Strong communication skills

Self-motivated and able to multi-task under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

15+ years experience

Experience with Design Build projects

Additional certifications (PMP, LEED, CESCP)

Renewable energy design experience

Salary Range Location A: $118,000 - $161,000

Location B: $130,000 - $177,000

Location C: $142,000 - $194,000
