Senior Electrical Project Engineer

How you'll make an impact:

  • Design and execute projects in line with customer specifications and global standards.
  • Create work plans and cost estimates, ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Lead the development of innovative solutions for complex projects.
  • Prepare manufacturing documents and design drawings for FACTS plants.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering across multiple projects.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity assessments, implementing resulting actions.
  • Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Interact directly with customers, officials, contractors, and supply chain.

Your background:

  • BS/M.Sc./Ph.D in Electrical Engineering and 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with FACTS or HV transmission substation solutions required.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirements.
  • Control and Protection panel design experience preferred.
  • Relay configuration knowledge is a plus.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Candidates may be required to travel from 1 to 4 months to Sweden for specialized training.
