Position Description Ceribell seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer / Senior Embedded Engineer passionate about biomedical applications, with experience in developing embedded or IoT products. The successful candidate will join the R&D team and contribute to developing Ceribell's next-generation life-saving technologies. Our firmware stack is based on a STMicroelectronics STM32 ARM Cortex microcontroller, utilizing FreeRTOS, IAR Embedded Workbench, and TouchGFX. You should be able to collaborate within a cross-functional team and also take individual ownership of development, testing, and documentation. What you'll achieve Develop and test firmware features for Ceribell's EEG systems Translate user needs into new and improved features Contribute to GUI development using frameworks such as Qt, TouchGFX, LVGL, or custom OpenGL stacks Participate in code reviews, peer reviews, and risk management Create and revise technical documentation Provide input on firmware and hardware architecture for new and existing products What you'll need to be successful Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, or related field; graduate degree preferred 5+ years of firmware development experience in a commercial product Proficiency in C / C++ and experience with firmware development on ARM-based systems Hands-on GUI development experience for embedded devices using Qt, TouchGFX, LVGL, or similar frameworks Experience with WiFi-connected / IoT devices is a plus Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and collaborative attitude In addition to base compensation, Ceribell offers: Annual Bonus + Equity Opportunities 100% Employer-paid Health Benefits for Employees 50% - 70% Employer-paid Health, Dental & Vision for dependents (depending on plan) 100% paid Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance 401(k) with company match Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) with discount Monthly cell phone stipend Flexible paid time off 11 Paid Holidays + 5 Wellness Days Excellent parental leave policy Growth opportunities within a mission-driven organization **Compensation Range:** $130,000—$165,000 USD
