Job Description : The NPI PCBA Manufacturing Engineer will perform DFM reviews and related NPI manufacturing engineering duties required for new product development. Focus areas include design-for-manufacturing (DFM) preparations, prototype build evaluation, tooling preparation, and process improvements for the release and volume ramp of highly complex PCBA's. The engineer will serve as the primary manufacturing engineering representative to NPI teams and will interface with manufacturing and process engineers at remote factory sites. Responsibilities : Support NPI products as the key DFM engineer responsible for PCBA manufacturability, ensuring compliance with DFM guidelines in areas including SMT, BGA repair, wave solder, press fit, component packaging, and new part qualification. Collaborate with signal integrity teams and PCB suppliers to develop PCB stack-ups. Perform DFM reviews of new designs and resolve manufacturability issues. Participate in program team meetings, factory reviews, and other discussions related to PCBA/PCB DFM issues. Improve yields and cycle times to reduce costs and lead times. Coordinate with factory teams to develop DOE's and identify process parameters related to PCBA manufacturing. Provide guidance and support to quality and sustaining manufacturing engineering teams for critical quality and manufacturing issues. Minimum Qualifications : BSEE / BSME or higher degree with 6-10 years of electronics manufacturing experience. Experience supporting new product development as an NPI manufacturing engineer for complex PCBA and PCB manufacturability. Knowledge of interconnect and electronic assembly technologies, including soldering, press fit, and rework, with familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and teamwork aptitude. Practical skills in improving business processes.
